Last week we took a trip to the Royal Academy of Arts to see the David Hockney exhibition; and we were not left disappointed.
In this month long exhibition, Hockney’s new work – 82 Portraits and 1 Still-Life – sees a return to the the artist’s love for portraiture art.
All agreed that our time in the Royal Academy’s Sackler Gallery was well spent. The Yorkshireman’s radiant acrylics of acquaintances, friends and family are each distinct in character.
If you live in London or are planning a trip, we highly recommend that you take the time to visit this exhibition. Hockey’s work is one of kind and as one of the most iconic and influential artists of the 20th Century, it’s one not to be missed.
