What’s in our Make-Up Bag?

Like most women, we absolutely adore make-up. We like the whole process – pampering, moisturising, preening and beautifying. We’re big believers in quality and looking after your skin like it deserves to be looked after. This means getting your 5-a-day and investing in the best beauty products out there.

We did the rounds at the Beautii office and took a peek in everyone’s make-up bag. From CEO to intern, these are the make-up tips and beauty secrets we discovered…

PRIMER: Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base
Chanel’s Illuminating Primer is a life saver. It brightens and evens out your skin tone and provides the perfect base for your foundation.

FOUNDATION: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
We cannot rave enough about this foundation. It blends perfectly with even coverage, any dark circles or redness disappear instantly.

BRONZER: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow
This make-up duo is perfect for natural contouring. The best bit about it is that it’s pigmented so you can build up your colour without the fear of looking OTT. It also fits nice and neatly into your handbag, so you can top up if you’re heading straight out after work.

BLUSHER: Becca Beach Tint Summer Souffle
We love how this blusher is build-able so that you can apply however much you like. It’s perfect for the barely-there make-up look when you want to keep things natural. It’s apparently made up of 4 elements – powder, stain, highlighter and a cream – so it provides colour, staying power, illumination and a flawless finish all in one. We’ll definitely be replenishing this when it’s gone. 

BROWS: Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil
A cult beauty classic, nothing else is good enough for our brows. The Taupe shade, pictured below, is perfect for light to medium blondes. The staying power of this product is incredible and it’s also build-able should you not want to go full brow-wow during the day.

EYES: Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara
Not only does this mascara look really pretty in your make-up bag, it’s also one of the best mascaras we’ve ever used. The skinny spiral brush makes it really easy to get right into the corners so that every lash is coated in inky black goodness. It gives extra volume and curl and gets 10/10 for lasting all day with no flakes.

LIPS: Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm and Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Cream Cup
Nothing hydrates our lips better than Sisley’s amazing lip balm. Cracked lips? This little miracle-worker will smooth and moisturise in an instant. For a subtle pop of colour, we never leave the house without Mac’s pinky-perfect lipstick in Cream Cup. The light pink shade is suitable for all skin tones and Mac’s Cremesheen finishes are perfect if you tend to have slightly dry lips.
